Aachen

To enable you to make the most of your holiday we have specially arranged an enchanting excursion to the medieval city of Aachen.

Aachen, the westernmost German city, is historically one of the most important cities in Europe. In the Middle Ages, Aachen was an imperial city and residence of kings and emperors. Emperor Charlemagne built his imperial palace here, later used to build parts of the cathedral, which is now a World Heritage Site. There will be time to relax in this majestic old city. Perhaps enjoy a leisurely walk or take some time to visit the cathedral, which dates from 1414, or the town hall where inside the Gothic Coronation Hall is erected on the foundation of the old 14th century Carolingian Palace. There will also be time to visit the magnificent Cathedral, the main pedestrian quater and market area where you will find the beautiffy decorated Stalls amongst Cobbled streets and charming fountains.
