Cabin Facilities

Cabin services

Room Service: there is no room service available except for the cabins situated on decks 7 and 8, where continental breakfast may be ordered and delivered to cabins (not available on disembarkation day).

Music: for your relaxation music can be selected on your cabin radio. Please keep the volume at a reasonable level so as not to disturb the neighbouring cabins.

Laundry: laundry facilities are available at a nominal charge and a price list is available in your cabin. There is no dry-cleaning facility on board.

Beds & berths

Please be advised the majority of cabins are fitted with single beds and berths, however, some higher grade cabins (Grade 3 and above), have double beds and may be requested, although special requests cannot be guaranteed.

Please note: the term ‘berth’ refers to an upper and lower ‘bunk’ style bed. The upper berth is accessed via a small ladder.

Drinking water

The tap water in your cabin is chlorinated and perfectly safe to drink. Alternatively you may purchase bottled water from the bar at a reasonable price.

Wake-up calls

You can leave your request at the Information Desk in the evening.

Do not disturb

There is a “Do not disturb” sign available in your cabin and by hanging this on the outside of your cabin door, you will be ensured of complete privacy. By the same token, we ask that late-night revellers and early risers show consideration for their sleeping neighbours while in the corridors and when closing cabin doors.

Air conditioning

Standard temperature and humidity are maintained throughout the ship. In your cabin there are air-conditioning terminals where you may control the temperature in your cabin. To control the cabin temperature please turn the dial on the air-conditioning unit, (located in the ceiling) towards the red or blue circle to adjust the temperature for personal preference. Please ask your cabin steward or contact the Information Desk for assistance.

Adaptor plug

A 2-pin UK to European adaptor plug is required for any electrical appliance with UK plugs.

Electric current

The electric current on board is 220v A.C., and is for the use of electric shavers, hair-dryers and battery chargers only. Each cabin is equipped with a 2-pin electrical socket suitable for small appliances only. A European adaptor plug is required and may be purchased from the Duty Free Shop or Shore Excursion Office. The Information Desk should be consulted if you intend using electrical items other than stated. Water heaters and irons are not allowed to be used onboard due to safety regulations.

Daily Telescope

On arrival you will be given a Daily Telescope. This includes full details of port arrival and departure times, meal times, social activities, evening entertainment, dress codes and any other pertinent information. Daily Telescopes are delivered to the cabin each evening with the information relating to the following day.
