Creole & Cajun Cooking School

Here’s a great opportunity to learn how to cook using the age-old recipes of the Cajuns and Creoles. At the New Orleans School of Cooking you can watch talented chefs prepare dishes such as gumbo, jambalaya and pralines and enjoy a two-hour demonstration, which is both entertaining and educational and provides a fascinating, light-hearted insight to the history of New Orleans. The demonstration is followed by a meal, giving you the chance to sample the food you’ve just seen prepared. You can also learn how to mix and sample the famous New Orleans ‘Hurricane’ cocktail. Following the class you can visit the Louisiana General Store and purchase some of the aromatic spices and sauces native to the Deep South.

(Price includes demonstration, meal, iced tea, coffee, water and a ‘Hurricane’ cocktail. As these classes are held in the French Quarter, within walking distance of your hotel, no transfers are provided, however your Tour Manager will accompany you to the school).
