Day 1 AMSTERDAM
Selected early morning coach pick-ups and a
journey to Dover/Folkestone for the 10.00am ferry/
Eurotunnel crossing to Calais. Alternatively, we offer
overnight hotel accommodation close to port for those who would prefer. From
Calais we continue to Amsterdam, Holland, where
MS Liberty Anne is berthed. Enjoy a welcome drink,
followed by dinner on board.
Those taking the air option will fly direct to
Amsterdam and transfer to the vessel.
*Passengers taking the overnight crossing from
the north of England or Scotland, will depart the
previous day and join the vessel on day1 for dinner.
Day 2 AMSTERDAM, KAMPEN
This morning we cruise to the port of Kampen,
for an included visit by coach to the Family Mien
Ruys Gardens (entrance fee included). We then
visit Giethoorn for a canal cruise through this pretty
village situated in the heart of the De Wieden Nature
Reserve.
Day 3 KAMPEN, DEVENTER
A morning cruise to Deventer, one of Holland's
oldest and most well-preserved cities. After lunch we
have included a visit to the exquisite Het Loo Royal
Palace and Garden in Apeldoorn, known as the
'Versailles of Holland'.
Day 4 DEVENTER, ARNHEM, NIJEMGEN
Cruise to Arnhemand for our optional excursion to
the beautiful Gardens of Appeltern and the Airborne
Museum at Oosterbeek. This evening you’ll enjoy a
dinner cruise from Arnhem to Nijmegen.
Day 5 NIJEMGEN
Return journey to Calais after breakfast, making
a stop at a hypermarket en route. We will then
continue to Calais in time for the 5.30pm Channel
crossing to Dover/Folkestone. Upon arrival you will
be returned to your original point of departure.
Those taking the air option will transfer directly to
the airport for the return flight to the UK. Flight
time permitting you may have time at leisure in
Amsterdam.
*Passengers returning on the overnight crossing to
the north of England or Scotland, will transfer to the
departure port and arrive in the UK the next day.
Reverse Itinerary
On certain dates the holiday itinerary operates in
reverse, as follows:
Day 1: UK, Nijmegen
Day 2: Nijmegen, Arnhem
Day 3: Arnhem, Deventer
Day 4: Deventer, Kampen, Lelystad, Amsterdam
Day 5: Amsterdam, UK
The excursions available at each destination are
exactly the same as those featured in the standard
holiday itinerary. Your itinerary will be confirmed
with your final travel documents.
