DAY 1:
Join the direct overnight flight to Johannesburg.
DAY 2:
Upon arrival, join our coach for a breathtaking journey taking in some of South Africa’s most picturesque natural scenery. We will travel through the Drakensberg (‘Dragon’s Mountain’ in Afrikaans) to the Blyde River Canyon, passing along the beautiful Panorama Route - one of the most popular travel destinations in South Africa. Enjoy great views of the 20 mile long gorge, with impressive rock formations that were shaped by erosion millions of years ago, as we continue to our hotel in Hazyview, located near the Kruger National Park, for a three night stay.
DAYS 3 & 4:
An early morning start each day for what is sure to be one of the highlights of your holiday. On both days you will enjoy a full day visit by coach to Kruger National Park, established in 1898 to protect the wildlife of the South African lowveld and covering an area the size of Wales. On one day, why not take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy the wonders of the park from an open-top 4x4 safari vehicle, complete with specialist guide.
The Park is home to a myriad of wildlife including Africa’s ‘Big Five’, which, if you’re lucky, can all be spotted in a single day. Watch the mighty lion stalking its prey, follow the tracks of a leopard, find buffalo grazing, admire white and black rhino and discover the majestic elephant. Make sure you bring your camera for what promises to be two awe-inspiring days.
DAY 5:
After breakfast we will leave Hazyview and travel to Johannesburg Airport for a flight to Cape Town. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your well located hotel accommodation on the Atlantic Coast Beach at Sea Point for a four night stay.
DAY 6:
Today you are at leisure to explore historic Cape Town, recognised as one of the world’s most beautiful cities.
