A drive through typical Galician farming villages, and then a scenic coastal road will bring to La Toja Island, the location of a famous thermal spa resort. Following your visit you will drive to the picturesque village of Cambados, the land of splendid country manors, before returning to Villagarcía.

Discover the highlight of southern Spain and visit The Alhambra Palace in the shadows of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Situated in the beautiful town of Granada, the 14th century Alhambra Palace is a perfect example of Muslim-Hispanic architecture with detailed mosaics, prism-style copolas and stone-cast lattice work. Includes buffet lunch.

Leave behind the bustle of Malaga for a glimpse behind the scenes of Spanish country life. This classic Malagueñan village offers splendid views of the coast, cobbled streets, and charming white-washed houses. Visit the charming chapel of Our Lady Of The Rocks or sit and relax in the Mediterranean sun enjoying the tranquillity in a quiet sidewalk.

Refreshments (included in the price) will be served in large, beautifully decorated tents while being entertained by belly dancers, snake charmers, acrobats and magicians. Folkloric groups will perform songs and dances from various regions of the country, and the climax of the Fantasia Show will be a spectacular display with riders on horseback at full gallop firing rifles in the air as they re-enact a battle charge.
Further information: this is the only tour in Tangier suitable for those passengers who may have walking difficulties or using wheelchairs.

Join us on a panoramic drive through the boulevards and districts of exotic Tangier to Cape Spartel where the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean meet. Visit the American Legation Museum located in the heart of the city followed by a visit to the bustling and winding streets of the Old Medina and Petit Socco before returning to the quayside with its vendors and merchants.

A panoramic drive of this delightful ancient seaport begins our tour, passing the Baroque cathedral, Plaza de España and the monument to Las Cortes; Spanish Parliament. Heading inland to the town of Jerez de la Frontera, home to dozens of sherry producing ‘bodegas’. We will visit a typical bodega where the age-old process of sherry production is explained and also have the opportunity to taste and purchase a souvenir.

This tour will take you directly to the Cable Car Base Station. Your guide will then accompany you back to the Cable Car for a short ride to the sanctuary of Gibraltar’s oldest inhabitants, the Rock Apes. Then see the first buildings ever constructed by the British in Gibraltar, which now house Gibraltar’s ‘City under siege’ exhibition. From here your tour proceeds to our final stop, the Gibraltar Museum.
There’s no cruise destination quite like Gibraltar, one of the fabled Pillars of Hercules. Wholly British and bathed in glorious sunshine while cooled by a refreshing sea breeze, Gibraltar is an ideal destination to visit in the summertime. Here, you can enjoy all the advantages of a foreign country, including terrific tax reduced shopping; browse designer sunglasses, the latest CDs, electrical equipment, jewellery, perfumes and designer wear. Gibraltar is also home to the unmistakable Barbary Apes; the only wild monkeys found in Europe, living in a nature reserve situated at the top of the Rock.
Known as the ‘White City’, Tangier offers a fabulous Medina which contains a pair of picturesque markets (souks) where you might like to barter in traditional fashion. Good buys include leather goods and carpets, as well as an array of other exotic goodies. Sightseeing here includes the fortified Kasbah and the American Legation Museum and Research Center, which traces the history of the relationship between the United States and Morocco.
Delightfully located in Spain’s north-west corner, the pleasant port of Villagarcía de Arosa is just a short journey from historic Santiago de Compostela. A convenient optional shore excursion will enable you to visit this world famous site of pilgrimage.
This fascinating Andalucían city, situated on Spain’s sunny Costa del Sol, offers many attractions, including the impressive Moorish palace, which overlooks the bullring, a beautiful renaissance cathedral, and the famous Picasso Museum. Opening in 2003, the museum has 12 halls of permanent display and fascinating temporary exhibitions to view.
Málaga’s old town is well worth exploring, with narrow streets that have a Moorish atmosphere combined with baroque facades and little squares. There are also charming hidden corners with cosy cafes dotted around to relax in. From Málaga you might like to join an optional shore excursion to Granada, home to the spectacular Alhambra Palace, silhouetted against the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains, or to the fashionable resort of Marbella.
This historic medieval seaport is characterised by palm trees, look-out towers and weathered old buildings. An excursion can be made to the Moorish city of Seville, famed for its orange blossom perfume, cobbled streets and white-washed houses. Here you will have the chance to enjoy a traditional Andalucian dinner and a spectacular Flamenco show. Alternatively, you might like to visit Jerez de la Frontera, the home of Sherry.
The Dutch-owned Van Gogh combines a friendly, intimate atmosphere with a range of excellent facilities including a seawater swimming pool, fitness room, sauna, cinema and casino. In addition to our designated three and four berth cabins, we have arranged for the third and fourth berths in higher grade cabins to be sold for an incredible price. If you book a twin bed outside cabin of Grade 6 or above, a third person can occupy your cabin for a great-value price(upper-berth). In a Grade 5 cabin and above, a third and a fourth person can join for the entire duration of the cruise for an excellent price! (Please note that this does not apply to Grade 4 cabins.)
