Day 1: Depart Falmouth, UK. Take advantage of our complimentary coaching or join directly at the port.

Days 2 & 3: Cruising at Sea.

Day 4: Portimao, Algarve, Portugal. Spend the day exploring the bustling harbour with many delightful shops or travel to Praia da Rocha with a beautiful beach and golden cliffs.

Day 5: Malaga, Costa del Sol, Spain. Explore the fascinating Andalucian city, which offers an intriguing combination of Moorish and Spanish influences.

Day 6: Cruising at Sea.

Day 7: Palma de Majorca, Spain. Wander through the 10th century Arab quarters, admire the gothic cathedral, hunt for bargains at the Mercat Olivar or simply find your spot on the sands under the Mediterranean sun.

Day 8: Cruising at Sea.

Day 9: Villefranche, France. Here in one of the most picturesque ports on the Cote d'Azur, you can admire the brightly coloured architecture or join a shore excursion to Nice or Monte Carlo.

Day 10: Ajaccio, Corsica. Cruise into the crystal blue waters of Corsica, featuring a fascinating blend of French and Italian influences.

Day 11: Civitavecchia (for Rome), Italy. Step into Rome and take a step back in time. Highlights include the Vatican City, the Sistine Chapel, the Coliseum and the Trevi Fountain.

Day 12: Naples, Italy. Naples is the most spectacular natural setting in Italy and the gateway to some of Italy's top sightseeing — historic Pompeii, Herculaneum and Mount Vesuvius, not forgetting the spectacular Amalfi coastline.

Day 13: Messina, Sicily. Today you will surely wish to join a fascinating optional excursion to Mount Etna, Italy's liveliest volcano.

Day 14: Valletta, Malta. The George Cross Island combines beautiful scenery and ancient sites. Visit the historic capital of Valletta and perhaps take a stroll to the Barracca Gardens for panoramic views of one of the world's largest and deepest natural harbours.

Day 15: Cagliari, Sardinia. The picturesque upper town's old quarter is dominated by a medieval castle and cathedral and offers a fascinating mix of Italian and Spanish influences.

Day 16: Port Mahon, Menorca. Spectacular views await as we cruise into the stunning natural harbour of Port Mahon. Berthing steps away from the main sights of this historic maritime city, perhaps sample the famous 'Nelson Gin'.

Day 17: Cruising at Sea.

Day 18: Gibraltar . Wholly British and bathed in glorious sunshine, Gibraltar is an ideal destination to visit in the Summertime. During the afternoon, the MV Van Gogh will be cruising the same waters as where the Battle of Trafalgar took place.

Days 19 & 20: Cruising at Sea.

Day 21: Arrive Falmouth, UK for the return coaching to your original departure point.
